Stoett Industries, Inc. of Ohio Purchases New Facility
Stoett Industries, Inc., parent company of Stoett Retractable Screens and Libart North America, has moved into a 70,000 square foot facility in Hicksville, Ohio, doubling the square footage of its previous facility in Defiance, Ohio. Because of increased growth, Stoett was bursting at the seams at its 30,000 square foot facility in Defiance. After searching for a larger facility that would fit its manufacturing processes, Stoett purchased the Hicksville facility to allow for more capacity.
Chris Stover, Operations Manager, said, “The expanded space will allow both Stoett and Libart to increase efficiency and house larger projects.” Stoett moved to the new location in early 2013, and began full operations May 15th.
During the move, Stoett also purchased the rights to Newline, a retractable shower door company that fit in well with the retractable product theme. Newline offers an alternative to glass shower doors with a quick, simple installation and self-cleaning technology. Newline will be sold through a similar dealer network, focusing more on bath remodeling entities.
In 2009, Stoett bought Libart North America, including the North American manufacturing rights to the global Libart brand, known for innovation with many retractable architectural products. Libart has experienced similar growth in recent years, mostly within the commercial and hospitality sector, installing many retractable rooftop structures at restaurants. Libart North America is a designer and manufacturer of retractable structures for indoor/outdoor spaces.
